The Treasury have revealed an expansion of the digital reporting scheme in 2022-23, along with new consultations on business rates and pension tax relief.

Its only been a fortnight since the summer statement when the Chancellor Rishi Sunak insisted it wasn’t a ‘mini-Budget’, and the Government has now slipped out a raft of policy statements – including big news about Making Tax Digital.

The new measures were published on 21st July 2020, the eve of parliamentary recess, bundled up in the draft legislation supporting the Finance Bill 2020-21.
